The Mechanical department is the backbone of the SeaSentinel structure. Responsible for the physical design and manufacturing of the hull, propulsion systems, and waterproofing, this team ensures the vessel can withstand harsh maritime environments. Using advanced CAD modeling and rapid prototyping, they turn concepts into a seaworthy reality.
The Electronics team breathes life into the machine. They design custom PCBs, manage power distribution, and integrate a complex network of sensors including LiDAR, cameras, and GPS. Their work ensures that the autonomous brain of the vessel has reliable power and precise data inputs to navigate safely and effectively.
The OBP team develops the intelligence behind the autonomy. Using Python, C++, and ROS, they create algorithms for object detection, path planning, and decision-making. This team turns raw sensor data into actionable commands, allowing the SeaSentinel to recognize obstacles and navigate courses without human intervention.
The Business team ensures the project stays afloat financially and organizationally. They handle sponsorship acquisition, logistics for international competitions, social media marketing, and project management. They are the bridge between technical engineering and the professional world.
