Proving our autonomy on the international stage.
RoboBoat is an international student competition organized by RoboNation, held annually in Sarasota, Florida. Teams from around the world design and build autonomous surface vehicles to navigate through a series of aquatic challenges. These tasks mimic real-world challenges facing the maritime industry, such as coastal surveillance, port security, and oceanographic research.
SimLE SeaSentinel has been a proud participant since 2023, constantly evolving our platform to meet higher standards of autonomy and engineering excellence.
Our most advanced vessel yet. New lightweight catamaran hull was made with easy accessibility in mind. Our software stack was refined and vehicle driver adapted to omnidirectional movement.
We took part in ICMASS conference on 29-30 October presenting our paper "Software Architecture Design of ASV Rybitwa: Development of an Autonomous Surface Vehicle for Dynamic Navigation and Task Execution". It was a great opportunity to share ideas and discuss new concepts with fellow researchers from across the globe. Our team learnt new lessons, which turned to be valuable during RoboBoat.
A significant leap forward in terms of hull design and software stack. Rybitwa improved object detection process and waypoint following, securing us a solid position in the design documentation category.
The beginning of the SeaSentinel journey. Perkoz was our proof of concept, which gave us opportunity to step a foot in ASV development.
